what is ship for world youth (swy)?

The Ship for World Youth Program (SWY), administered by the Cabinet Office of the Japanese Government, is a cultural exchange program which engages young people from Japan and from all over the world. The participants board a ship in Japan, in which they live together for approximately 2 months. On the ship, and while visiting different countries, they study and discuss their nations' common issues from a global perspective. They also take part in various other activities which involve the opportunity of getting to know each other's different cultures.
